Bombshell footage has emerged of an Aussie FIFO worker partying in Bali several hours before he was found dead.
Mystery surrounds the death of Byron Haddow, 23, whose lifeless body was found in a plunge pool at a private villa on the Indonesian island on May 26.
While authorities initially listed Mr Haddow’s cause of death as drowning, an Indonesian coroner later ruled he likely died from the combined effects of alcohol and an anti-depressant.
Mr Haddow’s tragic death made headlines last month after an autopsy bungle saw his body repatriated four weeks later without his heart, with his family forced to pay $700 for its return.
As his family’s harrowing wait for answers continues, new footage has emerged from Mr Haddow’s phone of the Aussie partying in the wee hours prior to his death later that morning.
The footage obtained by news.com.au shows Mr Haddow in good spirits while parting with two unnamed Australian women and a man.
His stepfather told the outlet the footage appears to contradict what the family was originally told had happened in the hours leading up to Byron’s death.
The family still suspect Byron may have met foul play.
‘(My wife) Chantal and I never believed he drowned. He grew up on the water; he came out fishing with me all the time. He was a strong swimmer, fit and healthy,’ his stepfather Robbie Haddow said.
