Source claims Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have split

After almost 20 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly called it quits.

Following a report from TMZ, a source has allegedly confirmed the breakup to People.

“Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” a source told People.

The source has further suggested Keith initiated the breakup as the source added, “she didn’t want this.”

“She has been fighting to save the marriage,” they concluded.

The day after news of their reported split had spread, E! News reportedly obtained Nicole’s petition for divorce just one day after it was filed.

“Neither party shall pay any amount and/or form of alimony or spousal support to the other,” the filing stated according to the publication. “All alimony and spousal support claims are hereby forever waived by the parties.”

“Each party is awarded his or her own clothing, jewellery and personal items, free and clear of any and all claims of the other party.”

E! News further claimed the divorce was due to “irreconcilable differences” as cited in the petition.

Despite the flurry of information quickly spreading about Nicole and Keith’s relationship, nothing has been confirmed or denied by their spokespeople or themselves.

However, a recent Instagram post featuring Keith has sent fans into a flurry! In late September, his guitarist Maggie Baugh, 25, shared a video of the two performing The Fighter, a song dedicated to Nicole. While performing Keith changed the lyric to include the name of his guitarist.

“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player,” Keith said on stage.

Keith and Nicole first met in January 2005 at the G’Day LA Gala, and married shortly after in June 2006.

During their 19 years of marriage, Nicole, 58, and Keith, 57, welcomed two daughters together.

Their eldest together is Sunday Rose, 17, who is starting a career in modelling. Their youngest is Faith Margaret, 14.

However, Nicole has four children in total. Prior to her marriage with Keith, she welcomed daughter Bella and adopted son Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001.

In the petition, Nicole has asked to be the “primary presidential parent,” according to E! News.
